An extensive recruitment process has been launched at Luiss University through a ‘Call for Expression of Interest‘ involving 32 new positions for Full/Associate/Assistant Professors across various disciplines.
The call deadline is next February 15; among the 32 positions, seven are offered within the Department of Political Science (see full list below).
To the community of CISE readers that are interested in elections, public opinion, political behaviour and political communication, we bring to attention two positions in particular:
Methods of Political and Social Research
Excerpt from the call:
“Primary attention will be given to profiles for the position of Assistant Professor, but expressions of interest from Junior Associate Professors will also be considered … Candidates are expected to have a strong international publication record on research methods in political and social sciences, both quantitative and qualitative. Experience of survey research (including questionnaire and survey design, survey data analysis also with a multi-level perspective) and/or of experimental designs, including the use of qualitative methods in the social sciences, is appreciated.”
Sociology of Communication
Excerpt from the call:
“[Candidates] will be leading scholars with research and teaching experience, and a relevant record of publications and research projects … Candidates are expected to have a strong international publication record, with a focus on the areas of digitized public spheres and datafication of political communication and political mobilization. Expertise in computational communication analysis and a research interest on digital environments and political communication are desirable.”
In light of possible future collaborations with CISE scholars, we would be especially happy of seeing applications by scholars with specific expertise on public opinion, party politics and political attitudes and behavior.
